I have recently bought a Mini Chelsea to be my first car!! (Although I'm only 15). However, it does need a lot of work so I do have plenty of time. I will keep this blog up to date on all the work my dad and I do on it to restore it to the Chelsea's original glory. I have decided to restore it as it originally was, which I was quite disappointed to hear that they were only distributed in red. Oh well =)
I don't have the faintest clue about the technical bits of cars, so I'm going to describe the work we do the way my dad tells me about it. I am hoping to learn a lot about them and the way they work. I will update this blog with pictures too so you can see any progress (it may be slow!).
Here are a few pictures of my car before we have started any work. We are expecting to start work in a few months.
My dad says it's in pretty good condition on the inside, so it's the body work and interior we'll start with. All I know about the Chelsea is that 1,500 were made in 1985 as part of the London collection. Only about 500 are left. Let me know if there's any other facts I should know! =)
